We’ve seen the Kanye West x Louis Vuitton sneakers that are set to hit Louis Vuitton retailers soon, but today we have a look at some of the behind the scenes that went into this collab.
Looking through the photos, Kanye definitely had to be selective in the process. I have to say that personally I would have liked to see the running inspired silhouette make it into production, but then again I guess it is still possible (though it would still be way out of my price range). It definitely reveals the effort and creativity that often gets overlooked due to the enormous (yet justifiable?) ego.

Nike Sportswear Canarinho Pop-Up Shop

Nike recently opened up a Pop-up shop in Sao Paulo, along with the shop of course they had to drop a few specifics, like some fresh kicks and gear.
Three silhouettes appeared at the Nike Sportswear Canarinho Pop-Up Shop, all of which found inspiration from the country’s national soccer obsession. Local artists, Don Torelly, Presto and Jurubis, were asked to lend a creative hand to Nike Blazers and Dunk Lows.

Omelle Autumn/Winter 2009 Collection

New luxury footwear brand Omelle, releases their Autumn/Winter 2009 collection. Seems like they’ve found their signature heel as it is featured in their new collection as well. The stacked tusk-like heel with a metal top is called “PEG”, it is getting great feedback and becoming quite popular. The new collection is inspired by “Favorite” things.
Nicole LaFave’s background in knitwear design peeks through in some shoes, featuring knits incorporated into the shoes while other shoes expose a signature hex shape from the Spring/Summer 2009 collection. Interesting neutrals play with a variety of textiles and materials which include cabled knits, merino wool, felted fabric, and rich suede and calf skins. The collection hits stores and online in late August to early September.

The Clipse “Kinda Like A Big Deal” Video Photoshoot

Over the weekend, The Clipse played host to a handful of industry headliners, including Kanye West, Kid Cudi and KAWS, for the video shoot of their lead single “Kinda Like A Big Deal” off the duo’s upcoming album Til The Casket Drops. The video was shot on location in Brooklyn, New York with a load of cameras zeroing in on the action. Play Cloths gives us a behind the scenes look at some of the famous spectators in attendance.
